New Delhi: The year 2025 is about to end and 2026 is about to make an entry. Everybody is looking forward to grand New Year’s Eve celebrations and welcomes the new year. The new year will not only change your calendar but will also affect many important aspects of your life such as salary expenses and savings. Lets see what all can change for you from the first day of the new year. Implementation Of 8th Pay Commission December 31 2025 is an important date for central government employees and pensioners as the term of the 7th Pay Commission will end on this day. The new 8th Pay Commission is to be implemented from January 1 2026. Although the salary and pension according to this will come later the date of implementation will be January 1. Credit Score Updates The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has ordered that from January 1 2025 banks and NBFCs will have to send information to credit bureaus once every 14 days. This will ensure that your credit score is updated on time and will make it easier to get a new loan. Changes In Gas Cylinder Prices From January 1 the prices of cooking gas (LPG) and commercial gas cylinders may change. Along with this aviation fuel prices may also change which could affect air ticket prices. PAN-Aadhaar Linking If you have not yet linked your PAN card with Aadhaar then from January 1 it may become difficult for you to carry out banking government services and other transactions. From January 1 your PAN card may become inoperative which could cause you difficulties. Ration Card e-KYC If you do not complete the e-KYC for your ration card by December 31 you may stop receiving rations from January 1 2026. This is an important change that you must implement in a timely manner. Farmer ID In Uttar Pradesh and several other regions the process of creating Farmer IDs is underway. This ID is essential for farmers to avail themselves of government schemes. If farmers do not create this ID they will not receive funds in their accounts and will be unable to benefit from these schemes.
