A new and shocking twist has emerged in the case of the murder of Bangladesh student leader Sharif Usman Hadi. The main accused in this case, Faisal Karim Masood, has released a viral video message declaring himself completely innocent. Masood has claimed that he was not in India but in Dubai at the time of the murder, while Bangladesh Police says that he is hiding in India.

In the video viral on social media, Faisal Karim Masood declares himself innocent and says, I am Faisal Karim Masood. I want to say clearly that I have nothing to do with Hadi's murder. This case is completely false and based on a conspiracy. Masood says that because of this false allegation he had to leave the country and go to Dubai. He also claimed that he had a valid five-year multi-entry visa for Dubai and somehow reached there.

accused of harassing the family

Masood alleged in the video that his family is also being unnecessarily implicated in this case and they are being tortured. He said that, my family has nothing to do with this matter. Yet they are being treated inhumanely, which I strongly oppose.

Clarification given on relations with Hadi

Faisal Masood admitted that he had gone to Hadi's office before the murder, but described it as just a working meeting. He says that he is a businessman, he owns an IT company and he has previously worked in the Finance Ministry. According to Masood, Hadi had promised him a job and in return he had given him an advance of 5 lakh taka. Apart from this, he had also provided financial help to Hadi's programs many times.

Masood held fundamentalist elements associated with Jamaat responsible for this murder. He said that Hadi was a person associated with Jamaat politics and his people killed him. My brother and I are being deliberately implicated.

Bangladesh Police and India's stance

Bangladesh Police claims that Faisal Masood and another accused Alamgir Sheikh have fled to India and entered the country through the Meghalaya border. However, India has completely rejected these allegations and said that dragging India into this massacre is a false and misleading story.
