Emmerdale actress Georgia Jay has announced the arrival of her baby daughter, revealing her lovely name.
The 33-year-old joined the ITV soap last November as Steph Miligan, the estranged daughter of Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash).
Steph quickly became embroiled in a devastating family secret when her trusted grandfather, Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day), was revealed to be her biological father after sexually abusing his own daughter, Ruby.
The shocking discovery plunged Steph into a mental health crisis as she grappled with the horrifying reality. She began seeing Anthony in her own reflection and concealed her distress from her parents.
In a heartbreaking attempt to erase the haunting image of Anthony from her life, Steph desperately sought plastic surgery to change her appearance, despite her grandfather having been murdered by that stage, reports the Daily Star.
Following weeks of introspection and a doomed romance with Ross Barton (Mike Parr), Steph purchased a ticket to Rome and declared she was embarking on travels, promising to return eventually.
Off-screen, Georgia Jay, who portrays Steph, took maternity leave from the ITV soap.
On New Year's Eve, Georgia announced on Instagram that she had welcomed her daughter in June 2025, naming her Nora.
In the first photograph with her little one, Georgia is pictured embracing her baby tenderly. The soap star wrote alongside the snap: "Nora (rose emoji) June 2025 (camera emoji) @anyavtilden."
Georgia's Emmerdale co-stars have flooded her with congratulations, with Beth Cordingly writing: "You are perfect and so is she. Love you x", whilst Michelle Hardwick, who portrays Vanessa, commented: "Gorgeous".
Laura Norton, Kerry Wyatt's actress, chimed in: "Yay congrats gorgeous."
In June 2025, the month she gave birth, Georgia announced her pregnancy through a beautiful photograph on Instagram, after eagle-eyed Emmerdale viewers spotted her growing bump during episodes.
In her post, she revealed: "As you've probably guessed, I've got some news to share! I know some of you have been wondering if you've been seeing a little bump on screen lately."
Confirming the joyful speculation, she added: "Well, it's not your imagination... I'm having a baby! We've never been so excited and a little nervous all at once. Thank you for all the love and support."
Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX
