BPSSC Recruitment 2026: The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Havildar Clerk (Head Clerk) positions with the start of the new year. A total of 64 vacancies will be filled under this recruitment drive. The online application process has already started on January 2, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the commission's official website, bpssc.bihar.gov.in. The last date to apply is February 2, 2026.

12th Pass Candidates Can Apply
For the Havildar Clerk (Head Clerk) position, candidates must have passed the Intermediate (12th pass) or equivalent examination. The minimum age for recruitment is 18 years. The maximum age limit is 37 years for the unreserved category, 40 years for the BC/OBC category, and 42 years for the SC/ST category.

The commission has clarified that the educational qualification and age will be calculated as of August 1, 2025.

How will the selection be made?
The selection of candidates for the Havildar Clerk recruitment will be done through a written competitive examination and a physical efficiency test. Candidates who qualify in both stages will get a chance to proceed further in the recruitment process.

Application Fee

PET Exam Pattern
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) conducted under the Havildar Clerk recruitment will be of 100 marks. Separate standards have been set for male and female candidates.

Male candidates will have to complete a 1.6-kilometer run within 6 minutes, while female candidates will have to complete a 1-kilometer run in 5 minutes. In addition, there will be a shot put test for 25 marks and a high jump test for 25 marks.
