Recognizing this issue, CBSE has taken a proactive approach by launching Psycho-Social Counselling Services starting January 6, 2026, for students in Class 10 and 12. This initiative aims to bolster students' mental health, alleviate stress, and enhance their confidence levels. The first phase of this program will extend from January 6 to June 11, 2026. Advantages of the Counselling Service

What are the benefits of counselling?
This service is tailored to help students manage the stress linked to board examinations. It focuses on maintaining mental equilibrium, boosting self-esteem, and preparing students psychologically for their exams. Participants will receive guidance on managing stress, effective time management, and study strategies. The mental and emotional health of students is crucial during board exams, and CBSE aims to ensure that students can perform to the best of their abilities without fear.


Helpline Details

How will the helpline function?
CBSE has established a 24/7 toll-free helpline at 1800-11-8004 for students, offering support in both Hindi and English. Tele-counselling services will be available from Monday to Friday, between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM. A total of 73 trained professionals, including principals, counselors, special educators, and psychologists, will provide assistance. This initiative also includes experts from countries such as Nepal, Japan, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE, ensuring that Indian students studying abroad can access these services.
