Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is becoming a big center of electronics manufacturing. UP has received important approval in the third phase of ECMS scheme, which will strengthen investment, employment and self-reliant India.

Uttar Pradesh, once known for agriculture and traditional industries, is now emerging as a strong center of electronics manufacturing. The industrial picture of the state is changing rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Uttar Pradesh getting a significant share in the third phase of the Central Government's ambitious Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) is a big sign of this change.

UP gets important approval in the third phase of ECMS

A total of 22 proposals have been approved by the Central Government in the third phase of ECMS, which includes 04 applications from Uttar Pradesh. The state is among the 11 states where projects have been approved under this scheme. Under this scheme, investment worth about Rs 41,863 crore and 33,791 direct employment opportunities are likely to be created across the country. The economy and youth of Uttar Pradesh will directly benefit from this.

Confidence increased due to investment friendly policies

Yogi government has paid special attention to creating a favorable environment for investment in the past years. The Uttar Pradesh Electronics Manufacturing Policy and Electronics Components Manufacturing Policy 2025, notified in the year 2017, have made the state an attractive destination for global investors. Due to strong law and order, transparent administration and strong infrastructure, Uttar Pradesh is progressing rapidly in electronics and high-tech manufacturing today.

Country's leading state in mobile manufacturing

Uttar Pradesh has become the leading mobile manufacturing center of the country. More than 55 percent of the country's smartphones and 50 to 60 percent of mobile components are being produced in the state. The new units to be set up under ECMS will further strengthen the electronics supply chain and play an important role in reducing dependence on imports.

Towards self-reliance from high value components

PCB, display modules, lithium ion cells and other important electronic components will be manufactured in the state through ECMS projects. This will strengthen the mobile and IT hardware industry and expand high value manufacturing in Uttar Pradesh.

The idea of self-reliant India is getting stronger

The clear goal of the Yogi government is to make Uttar Pradesh a state playing a leading role in building a self-reliant India. The ecosystem designed to support investors at every level is now yielding results. The approvals received under ECMS are proof that the confidence of national and global investors in Uttar Pradesh is continuously increasing.

More than 200 companies active in ESDM sector

More than 200 companies related to Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector are operating in the state. These include major companies like Vivo, Oppo, Samsung, Lava, Haier and LG as well as major component suppliers like Holitech, Transsion, Jahwa, Sunwoda and Samkwang, which have set up their production units in Uttar Pradesh.

It is clear that due to the confluence of policy, leadership and investment, Uttar Pradesh now seems to be standing firmly in the ranks of the leading states of the country in the field of electronics manufacturing.
