Punjab surprised everyone by defeating a strong team like Mumbai. Mumbai, which is considered a great team of domestic cricket, collapsed miserably while chasing a small target and lost the match even after coming close to victory. Punjab won this match by a margin of just 1 run.
At the beginning of the match, Mumbai captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bowl first. After this, Sarfaraz Khan made Punjab far behind in the match by playing an inning of 62 runs in 20 balls. After this, Shreyas Iyer also took the team closer to victory by playing an inning of 45 runs. At one time, Mumbai had scored 191 runs at the loss of 4 wickets and was just 25 runs away from victory.
