The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important notice for lakhs of students preparing for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1. The agency has announced a revised exam schedule and also released the exam city intimation slips. Previously, the exam was scheduled to be held from January 21 to 30, 2026, but the last date has now been set as January 29, 2026. Candidates who have applied for JEE Main Session 1 can download their exam city slips from the official website. This slip provides information about the exam city in advance, allowing students to make travel and other arrangements.

JEE Main 2026 Session 1: City Intimation Slip Released
According to the information released by the NTA, the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam city intimation slip has been made available on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download it using their login credentials, such as their application number and date of birth. This slip provides information about the city where the candidate's exam will be held. However, it does not contain the complete address of the examination center or the roll number.

City Slip is not the Admit Card.
The NTA has clarified that the exam city slip should not be mistaken for the admit card. It is issued only to provide advance information about the exam city. The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit card will be issued separately later, which will contain the examination center, reporting time, and other necessary instructions.

Exam to be held in India and abroad
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam will be conducted in several cities across India as well as in 15 foreign cities outside India. This will make it easier for NRI and foreign students to appear for the exam without the need to travel to India.

Revised Exam Schedule
Paper 1 (BE/BTech) exam will be held on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2026, in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The exams for Paper 2A (BArch), Paper 2B (BPlanning), and Paper 2A+2B will be conducted on January 29, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

What to do if you face problems downloading?
If any candidate faces difficulty in downloading the city slip, they can call the NTA Helpdesk number 011-40759000 or send an email to jeemain@nta.ac.in.
