Massive Recruitment for Police Constable Posts in Haryana: Applications Open for 5500 Vacancies

For young people dreaming of a job in the Haryana Police, the HSSC has released a recruitment notification for constable posts. A total of 5,500 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. Learn all the details.

This is great news for young people preparing for government jobs in Haryana. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has started a large-scale recruitment drive for constable posts in the Haryana Police. This recruitment will provide thousands of young people with the opportunity to join the police department and is considered a great opportunity for the youth of the state.

A total of 5,500 posts will be filled under this recruitment campaign. These include 4,500 posts for male constables (General Duty), 600 posts for female constables (General Duty), and 400 posts for male constables in the Government Railway Police (GRP).

Candidates for this recruitment drive must have passed their 12th standard from a recognized board. Only candidates who have passed the CET Group-C examination are eligible to apply.

The selection of candidates will be done in several stages. First, there will be a Physical Measurement Test (PMT), in which candidates' height and chest measurements will be checked. Those who qualify will then be called for the Physical Screening Test (PST).

For male candidates, the minimum height is 170 cm for the general category and 168 cm for the reserved category. The chest measurement should be 83 cm for the general category and 81 cm for the reserved category. For female candidates, the minimum height is 158 cm for the general category and 156 cm for the reserved category.

Under the PST, candidates will have to complete a race within a stipulated time. Male candidates will have to complete a 2.5 km race in 12 minutes, while female candidates will have to complete a 1 km race in 6 minutes. Ex-servicemen are required to complete a 1 km race in 5 minutes.

The candidate's age should generally be between 18 and 25 years. However, reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
