The whole matter started when Ramya recently reacted to a comment of the Supreme Court through Instagram Story. In fact, during the Supreme Court hearing on January 7, 2026, Justice Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta and N.V. Anjaria's three-judge bench expressed concern over the menace of stray dogs.

Regarding stray dogs and public safety, the court had said that it is difficult to predict in advance which dog can bite and which cannot. The court had expressed concern about accidents and safety on roads, schools and public institutions. The court said, 'No one knows which dog is in which mood. The presence of dogs on roads, schools, hospitals and other public places is dangerous because apart from biting, they can also cause accidents. The court emphasized on making schools, hospitals, railway stations etc. dog-free and amended the earlier order by saying that dogs will not be caught and released back to the same place.

'So all men should be put in jail'

After this court hearing, Ramya posted on Instagram story. He wrote, 'Even the human mind cannot be read to know who will commit a crime like rape or murder. Does this mean that all men should be put in jail?' Ramya's intention was against stereotyping and broad judgement. That is, not to blame all dogs for biting by one or two dogs, similarly, not to consider all men guilty on the basis of crimes of some men. But his rhetorical question was 'Put all the men in jail?'
