Good news for young people dreaming of a government job in the police department! The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has started the application process for 5500 vacant posts of Police Constable from January 11th. Candidates can apply online by visiting the official HSSC website, hssc.gov.in. The last date to apply is January 25, 2026.
12th Pass Candidates Can Apply
To participate in this recruitment, candidates must have passed the 12th standard from a recognized board.
Candidates must have studied Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation.
The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years, and the maximum age should not exceed 25 years. However, age relaxation will be given to candidates belonging to reserved categories.
The age will be calculated as of January 1, 2026.
CET Group C qualification is mandatory for all applicants.
Recruitment Details
A total of 5500 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment. Of these, 4500 posts are reserved for Male Constables (General Duty), 600 posts for Female Constables (General Duty), and 400 posts for Male Constables in the Railway Police.

Selection Process
Based on the merit of the Common Eligibility Test (CET), candidates will be shortlisted and invited for the first stage: Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST). Both tests will be of a qualifying nature. Candidates who are successful in these stages will be called for a knowledge test. A final merit list of candidates will be prepared based on all the stages.
