Prince William and Princess Catherine have sent a "clear" message regarding their feelings towards any possible meeting with Prince Harry this week, as the Duke is back in Britain for his latest trial. The Duke of Sussexwas pictured in London today as he attended the first day of the trial against the publisher of the Daily Mail. Harry is among six others, including Sir Elton John, his husband David Furnish, campaigner Baroness Doreen Lawrence, politician Sir Simon Hughes and actresses Sadie Frost and Liz Hurley are all taking action against Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) over allegations of unlawful information gathering.

The trial before Mr Justice Nicklin at the Royal Courts of Justice in London is due to last nine weeks. Harry's latest trip back to Britain sparked debate about whether he would meet any members of the Royal Family, however, it seems rather unlikely as the King and Queen are in Scotland, as are the Prince and Princess of Wales.

And according to one royal commentator, Prince William and Princess Kate sent a stern message with their schedule this week, "clearly drawing a line".

Royal expert told the Mirror: "It's perhaps fortuitous that Charles is likely to be in Scotland as usual in January when Harry flies back from California to face down Associated Newspapers in court.

"William and Catherine also have engagements in Scotland, so the lines are clearly drawn.

"Harry will concentrate on his court case and the chances are he won't be seeing his father - or, of course, his brother, during this trip."

The Duke of Sussex is expected to give evidence all day on Thursday.

William and Catherine will spend an away day in Scotland on Tuesday, to meet the Team GB and Paralympics GB curling squads ahead of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Stirling.

On Thursday, the day Harry will testify, Prince William will be in Bristol for a day of engagements linked to causes close to his heart.

William will visit Matter, an Earthshot 2025 finalist, to learn about its innovative filtration technology system designed to prevent microplastics from entering our waterways and oceans.
