The ambitious Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme has been started in Punjab. According to the announcement of Punjab Government, every family in the state will get free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal Launched this scheme. He told that every section of the people in Punjab will get direct benefits from this scheme. This scheme will benefit 3 crore people from about 65 lakh families.
At the time of launching the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme, Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia, State President and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, former Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain and many other senior leaders were also present on the stage.
A special program was organized to launch this scheme in Mohali. Under this scheme, every family in Punjab will get free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh. There is no income limit or age limit to avail the benefits of this scheme. Any person from Punjab who has Aadhar card or voter card can avail the benefits of this scheme. The condition is that Aadhar card or voter card should be from Punjab.
During this, Arvind Kejriwal said that the health scheme which has been started today, should have been started in 1950 itself. All the work done in Punjab in the last four years deserves to be recorded in history. Kejriwal said that we had also given a health guarantee that we will start a free and good health scheme for every person of Punjab.
Kejriwal said that a health center like Mohalla Clinic was not built before. We built one thousand mohalla clinics. There were no such facilities earlier. We recruited 1100 special doctors. State-of-the-art machines were installed. Now free treatment can be provided even in the biggest hospitals of Punjab.
During this, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that today is a very historical day. This is a big gift for every family of Punjab. He said that our government has not left any house under this scheme. Everyone is covered under this scheme. CM said that this scheme is the first such scheme in the world.
Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh informed that under this, cards will be made in more than 9 thousand public centres. Camps will be organized for this. After registration, people will be eligible for treatment. It will take 10 to 15 days for the card to arrive. In about 4 months, entire Punjab will be brought under the ambit of this scheme.
