Enforcement Directorate (ED) Director Rahul Naveen reached Kolkata on Thursday evening on a three-day visit. It is being told that after talking to the officials, Naveen will go to the eastern regional office of the agency in Salt Lake, talk to its staff and also take feedback on the cases being investigated in the zone.

From Friday, ED Chief will investigate into I-PAC and other cases. But serious allegations of money laundering have been made. In fact, political consultancy firm I-PAC seems to be facing difficulties from all sides. The grip of legal agencies on I-PAC may tighten further. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is preparing to summon I-PAC Chief Prateek Jain.
ED Director Rahul Naveen may also pursue legal action against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during his three-day visit. In fact, ED has made serious allegations of money laundering against I-PAC. Raids have also been conducted at the company's office and the residence of its chief. When the investigation agency's action was going on in Kolkata, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee suddenly reached the spot and it is alleged that she took some very important documents with her. This matter has also reached the court.
At the same time, ED has made Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as respondent number two in its criminal writ petition filed in the Supreme Court. This petition has been filed on the allegations of alleged obstruction and destruction of evidence in the search operation of January 8. State Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar, Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Verma, South Kolkata DCP Priyabrata Roy and CBI have also been made defendants in this case.

Apart from this, the Home Secretary of the Central Government and the Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) have also been made parties. The Supreme Court has issued notices to everyone and the next hearing of the case has been fixed in the first week of February.
