Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is continuously taking action in America. Recently it was revealed that a 5 year old child was detained. After this, it has now come to light that a 2-year-old girl was taken into the custody of America's ICE on Thursday in Minneapolis. According to NBC News report, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said that the girl was with her father when both were taken into custody.

2 year old girl taken into custody

According to the information, Elvis Joel Tipan-Echeverría and his 2-year-old daughter Chloe Renata Tipan Vilasis were detained when they were returning home after buying groceries. At this time he was taken to South Minneapolis.

Giving information about this detention, Minneapolis City Council member Jason Chavez wrote on Instagram, 'A suspicious vehicle followed the car of the girl's father, broke his car window and abducted him. No judicial warrant was shown.

What did DHS say?

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Tipán-Echeverría was driving recklessly with a child in tow and was an illegal immigrant from Ecuador who committed felony re-entry and violated the country's laws. The spokesperson also said that DHS took care of the child who the mother did not want to take with her.

According to DHS, Tipan-Echeverría neither opened the car door nor lowered the window despite lawful orders. Agents detained Tipan-Echeverria and tried to turn the child over to the mother, who was in the area, but she refused, the spokesperson said. Chloe is the fifth child detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in recent weeks. Due to this, the controversy regarding US President Donald Trump's strictness on immigration has intensified.

The matter came to light earlier also

Columbia Heights Public Schools Superintendent Gina Stanwick told reporters Wednesday that federal agents picked up Liam Conejo Ramos from a running car parked in the family's driveway Tuesday afternoon. He said officers asked the boy to knock on the door of his house to see if anyone else was inside — in fact, a 5-year-old child was used as bait.
