Nat Sciver-Brunt Century: The wait for the first century in WPL is over, MI star created history in 57 balls

Finally the first century was scored in the Women's Premier League (WPL). In the fourth season of WPL, Mumbai Indians' legendary all-rounder Nate Siver-Brunt created history by scoring a century. In the important match of WPL 2026 between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Nate Siver-Brunt immortalized his name forever in WPL records by scoring a century in just 57 balls. For four consecutive seasons, many batsmen remained victims of 'nervous nineties', due to which the wait for the first century continued to drag on. But after 1059 days and 82 matches, WPL finally got its first century player.

In this match played on the evening of Monday 26th January in Vadodara, Mumbai Indians batted first. It had a bad start and opener Sajeevan Sajna returned to the pavilion in the third over itself. But Nate Siver, who came after this, along with the second opener Haley Mathews, batted brilliantly and completed her half-century in just 32 balls. This English all-rounder made a stormy partnership of 131 runs with Mathews.
