Nissan has revealed the five colour options for its upcoming Gravite compact MPV ahead of its official unveiling on January 21, 2026. The colour palette includes a distinctive teal shade as the hero colour, along with pearl white, onyx black, grey, and a fifth neutral tone. The Gravite is set to launch in March 2026 after the price announcement at the January reveal event.

The Gravite will be Nissan’s first MPV for the Indian market, built on the same platform as the Renault Triber but featuring its own distinct styling and identity. The teal colour appears designed to set it apart visually from the Triber, which uses different paint schemes.

Seven-Seater With Practical Design

The Gravite is a seven-seater with modular seating aimed at families looking for affordable space and practicality. It shares the Renault Triber’s CMF-A+ platform but gets unique exterior design elements. Up front, it features horizontally placed LED DRLs integrated into the headlamp units and a prominent horizontal chrome slat on the grille.

The ‘GRAVITE’ lettering sits prominently on the bonnet. At the rear, split tail-lamps are connected by a horizontal trim across the tailgate, with the Gravite badge mirroring the front design theme. The MPV also gets a different wheel design from the Triber to further differentiate the two models.

Engine And Features

Power comes from a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. Gearbox options will be a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed AMT. Nissan may also offer a CNG option as a dealer-level fitment. The compact engine keeps the Gravite’s fuel efficiency competitive for family buyers.

Inside, the Gravite gets a seven-inch digital instrument cluster and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include push-button start, wireless phone charging, a cooled glove box, cruise control, automatic LED headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers. All variants will come with six airbags as standard, along with Electronic Stability Program, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, and front parking sensors.

Expected Price And Availability

The Gravite is expected to be priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9 lakh ex-showroom, positioning it close to the Renault Triber, which currently ranges from Rs 5.76 lakh to Rs 8.60 lakh. Nissan is likely to offer an aggressive introductory price to attract early buyers and gain market share in the compact MPV segment. Pre-bookings are expected to begin soon after the January 21 reveal, with customer deliveries scheduled to start from March 2026.

The Gravite will compete directly with the Maruti Ertiga and Renault Triber. For buyers seeking a spacious, practical family vehicle at an accessible price point, the Gravite’s arrival offers another choice in the growing compact MPV segment. The colour options suggest Nissan is focused on giving the Gravite a separate visual identity despite sharing the same platform as the Triber, particularly with the distinctive teal shade that should stand out on roads.
