Software major Infosys’ off-campus recruitment drive for full stack developers at mouth-watering salaries comes to an end tomorrow. The drive targets graduates with one-year of experience and solid skills and talent.
The company is offering trainee specialist programmers salaries of Rs 21 lakh and Rs 16 lakh per annum for L3 and L2 levels, respectively. Those hired at L1 level will get Rs 10 lakh per annum, plus a joining bonus of Rs 1 lakh.
Candidates with a BE / BTech, ME / MTech, MCA or MSc (5-year integrated) in computer science, information science, data science, AI/ML, IT, cybersecurity, software engineering, electronics and communications, and allied subjects are eligible to apply, according to an internal mail.
The mail makes it clear that only undergrads /postgrads from the 2024 batch are eligible. They must, however, have at least 12 months of experience. Infosys has urged employees to recommend talented youngsters.
“We would like to extend our invitation to freshers who are passionate about programming, have a creative mindset, great communication skills, and are great team players.”
Roles across cloud, cybersecurity, data engineering, and AI-enablement are seeing between 20-40% salary premiums, according to a 2025 report by Quess Corp. Meanwhile, median packages for freshers have been growing 5% annually over the last two years, according to data from Zinnov, driven by the need for talent in digital transformation.
A senior Infosys employee said, “Our company never has never advertised such packages. This is the first time we are seeing such a notification. It took us many years to reach this salary level.”
According to another employee, the company may find it worthwhile to spend on people who come up with cutting-edge ideas and programming that’s aligned with the AI era. This is also a warning bell for those falling behind on the learning curve, he added.
In the recent post-earnings press conference, chief executive Salil Parekh said that the company had put together an approach “for very good software engineers who will work in AI and who will… (receive) much higher compensation.”
