Assembly elections are going to be held this year in 5 states of the country including Assam. Among these, Assam is especially in the news. This is because the CM Himanta Biswa Sarma is continuously making sharp statements. Meanwhile, on Thursday the CM once again gave a controversial statement. He said that harass the Muslims so much that they are forced to leave Assam.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has created a political storm with his remarks about Mia Muslims, due to which there is tremendous anger among the opposition parties. Himanta said that he encourages creating trouble for “Miya Muslims” so that they flee the state.

We Mian are against Muslims-Himant

In Assam, the BJP often uses the term Miya when referring to Bengali-speaking Muslims linked to illegal immigration. Expressing his dislike towards Miyan Muslims, Himanta asserted that he was ready to do anything at any time to drive them out of the state.

He said, we are directly against Miyan Muslims. We are not hiding anything. We say directly that we are against the Miyans.

Bangladeshi citizens were present in Assam-CM

The Assam CM clearly addressed the public and said that they should be harassed without any fear. Himanta also claimed that Bangladeshi nationals were present in Assam and linked the issue to Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

These will spread throughout Assam- CM Himanta

CM Himanta has attacked the opposition during this period. He claimed that Congress has mishandled the issue. He said that if Congress had taken action earlier, such a situation would not have existed in Assam today. He warned that if it was not opposed, this community would spread throughout Assam.

Congress expressed opposition, BJP gave clarification

The Congress party has warned that such statements are an attempt to divide the society and can disturb social harmony in the election-bound northeastern state. Congress leader Udit Raj said, the consequences of such statements will not be good; They will be dangerous. These people do not care about the country. If this continues, the country may have to face turmoil. However, BJP insisted that the CM's Mia comment was for illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.
