India is a very rich country in many diverse areas including culture, traditions and food. If any one of these areas is discussed, the discussion may not end for hours.

One of these subjects is that of food and drink, in which every corner of India is famous in the world. In almost every city of India, there is definitely some food or drink whose video has not gone viral on social media. Talking about food and drink, let us tell you that in Uttar Pradesh, India, there is a vegetable sold which is called 'Desi Mutton'. The price of this unique vegetable is so high that even meat and fish seem cheaper compared to it.

Many types of unique and nutritious vegetables are available in India. You might have heard the names of many of these in viral videos on social media, but people are still unaware of the names of many. Such as- Gotu Kola, Wild Mushroom Puttu, Thor (which uses banana stem), Jimikand, Lotus Cucumber, Kusmi, Charota and Amari. Apart from these, many local leafy vegetables are also available in small villages of India.

It is noteworthy that in the local markets of districts like Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi and Pilibhit of Uttar Pradesh, a special white colored vegetable is sold during the rainy season. The name of this vegetable is 'Dharti Ka Phool (a type of wild fungus/mushroom)'. It grows naturally in soil. It grows under dense forests, earthen mounds and banks of ponds during the rainy season and the villagers dig it out early in the morning. One more thing to note is that, it grows in a protected forest area (like Pilibhit Tiger Reserve), so extracting it is a legal offense and the forest department prohibits it.

 Flower of the earth.

The special thing about the flower of the earth is that it is more expensive than mutton and chicken because it is natural and rare. Its price ranges up to ₹ 1000/kg. You will not find this vegetable in many shopkeepers because whoever has it sells it quickly. Due to the high price, most people are able to buy them only from 100 grams to 250 grams.

These are the flowers that grow naturally on the earth and make the shopkeepers rich in just 10-15 days. If a shopkeeper gets even three to four kilos of these, he can earn thousands in a day. In the season of light rain, vegetable retailers earn a good amount by selling it.
