As the presentation of the Central Budget for 2026-27 approaches, political activity in Delhi is intensifying. During a press conference on Saturday, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed an optimistic outlook regarding the forthcoming budget. She believes that this budget will not only accelerate development plans for the national capital but also serve as a significant milestone in the revitalization of Delhi's infrastructure.

Gupta conveyed her confidence that the upcoming budget will positively influence the development initiatives in the capital, providing a fresh impetus to the city's growth. The Central Budget is scheduled to be presented in Parliament on Sunday. In her statement, the Chief Minister expressed that the budget would aid in realizing the goal of a 'developed Delhi.' She highlighted that the central government is providing support for projects related to the cleaning of the Yamuna River and the construction of sewage treatment plants. Additionally, she mentioned that the financial participation of the central government continues in the expansion of upcoming phases of the Delhi Metro. Gupta emphasized that the partnership between the central and Delhi governments in metro projects is strengthening the modern transportation infrastructure of the national capital.

She stated that the central government has been consistently assisting in the city's development efforts.
