Elon Musk has claimed he has been "smeared relentlessly" and has described the "extreme pain being accused of being the opposite of who I am" following the latest Epstein files release.

Just two days ago Elon Musk said emails he exchanged with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein have been 'misinterpreted' and the billionaire owner of Tesla and Space X insists he never went to Epstein's island.

The denials come after emails released by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) appear to show Musk, the world's richest man, in correspondence with Epstein.

Files recently released by the US DoJ appear to show Musk discussing a visit with Epstein for a 'wild party' on his island. One document, released on Friday shows Musk asking, in an email dated November 25, 2012: "What day/night will be the wildest party on our island?"

The House Committee emphasised that being named in the released documents does not indicate any wrongdoing and that names appear in different contexts, ranging from general social contact to specific business discussions.

The 2012 email from Musk to Epstein comes years after the disgraced paedophile financier pleaded guilty to procuring a child for prostitution in 2008.

The email exchange, roughly four years after Epstein's conviction, shows Epstein appearing to ask Musk "how many people will you be for the heli to island."

The documents show Musk responding that it would probably be himself and his then-wife Talulah Riley.

In another email from the X and Tesla owner to the child sex convict, Musk appears to be enquiring whether Epstein had any "parties planned" around the Christmas period.

Last night Elon took to X to write: "Nobody has fought harder for full release of the Epstein files and prosecutions of those who abused children more than I did, knowing full well that the legacy media, far-left propagandists and those who are actually guilty would: 1. Admit nothing 2. Deny everything 3. Make counter-accusations against me.

"I knew that I would be smeared relentlessly, despite never having attended his parties or been on his "Lolita Express" plane or set foot on his creepy island or done anything wrong at all.

"Nonetheless, the extreme pain of being accused of being the opposite of who I am was worth it.

"The strong must protect those cannot protect themselves, especially vulnerable children. I will gladly accept any amount of future pain to do more to protect kids and give them a chance to grow up and have happy lives."
