Meghan Markle has now been accused of "stealing" a key phrase used by King Charles when previously writing letters. Meghan, 44, launched her brand, As Ever, last year, with a royal fan now taking to X to share that this was a phase commonly used by the 77-year-old when he was known as the Prince of Wales.

Shared in a post on X, alongside some examples of letters sent out by Charles, the fan wrote: "Raise your hand if you thought Meghan Markle naming her failed Etsy shop "As Ever" a horrible idea? I know I did, and did not understand it, until now... Did you know that back in the day, Prince Charles would frequently sign his letters with 'Yours Ever' and 'As Ever' to those he had an enduring friendship and loyalty."

They then added: "Signing a letter with 'As Ever' was extremely popular in the Victorian era and predominantly used by 'boomers'."

The fan also pointed out that Meghan used the phrase for an autographed version of her children's book, titled The Bench.

They wrote: "Prior to this ridiculous sham of Markle's business, this weirdo's use of 'As Ever', was seen once for an autographed [The] Bench book in 2021."

In a Instagram video, which was posted in February 2025, Meghan revealed that she has decided to rename her brand, which was originally called American Riviera Orchard, to As Ever.

She said in the video: "...Which there's been a lot of curiosity about. Last year, I thought you know what, American Riviera, that sounds like such a great name, it's my neighbourhood [and] it's a name for Santa Barbara."

Revealing the reason behind the name change: "But it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area.

"Then Netflix came on, not just as my partner in the show [With Love, Meghan] but as my partner in business. It was huge."'

Last week, Meghan took to social media to reveal a special Valentines Day collection, that went on sale just hours later.
