The 50 Review In Hindi: The biggest 'reality show' in the history of TV used to mean only 'Bigg Boss' or 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' till now. But last night when 'The 50' premiered on Colors TV and Jio Hotstar, it was understood that the game is about to change. This show has also been produced by Bani J Asia. 50 famous celebrities, a luxurious palace and a 'The Lion' who is running this game without any written rules. Is this show really going to give you sleepless nights or just another crowded spectacle? Let us discuss this in detail. First of all, let's talk about 5 things related to this show which make it very special.
1. Grand Setup and 'Visual Treat': The beginning of the show is like a Hollywood movie. That huge 'palace' built in Malad area of Mumbai and the atmosphere there reminds you of a thriller film. The production has left no stone unturned in spending the budget. Camera work and background music keep you connected to the screen.

The makers have taken full care of 'controversy' while selecting 50 people. On one side there is the attitude of Karan Patel and on the other side there is the fan following of Mr. Faizu. Bringing stalwarts like Divya Aggarwal, Prince Narula and Rajat Dalal under one roof is no less than a blast. The game of 'Snakes and Ladders' has started in the very first episode.
3. Suspense of 'The Lion': There is no traditional host in the show. A person wearing a lion mask on his face is making the contestants dance. This game gives a feel like 'Squid Game'. At present, looking at this environment, it seems that Farah Khan and Ajay Devgan have only promoted the show, but the real boss inside is the 'lion' with a mask and this is what makes it different from other shows.
4. Unique Format: There is no 'confession room' here where you can go and cry. The only rule here is that there are no rules. Making alliances and breaking them in a moment is the soul of this show. This mind game is quite interesting to watch.
The fight between Rajat and Digvijay spread fear in the entire palace. Are you Team Rajat or Team Digvijay?

The biggest USP of the show is that here the winning money can be given not only to the contestants but also to their supporting fans. This greed can prove to be a masterstroke to keep the audience engaged with the show till the end.
Seeing 50 celebrities in the same frame can be a bit of a headache. In the first episode it was not clear who was fighting with whom. The audience is still trying to recognize many faces. Dividing screen time among 50 contestants in just 1 hour is proving to be a big challenge.
What happened between Karan Patel and Siddharth Bhardwaj on the very first day seemed a bit much. It seems that some contestants like Siddharth are considering this show as Bigg Boss and they think that only by shouting they will be seen on the screen.
While watching the show, I am reminded of Netflix's 'Squid Game' again and again. There is desi tadka in it, but the taste is still bland, the makers should also include some desi games in it, so that all the desi audiences enjoy watching it even more.
Will you play smart or will you go into emotions? What will Nikki do?

Even though the concept of 'Sher' is new, the absence of a host like Salman Khan or Rohit Shetty in the reality show is jarring. When the contestants cross the limits, there is currently no big face to teach them 'decency'.
The initial gameplay of the show is a bit complex for the GEC audience. It may take time for the general audience to understand how the eliminations are happening and how the prize money is increasing. If the process was a little simpler, connections would be made sooner.
Overall, 'The 50' is great for those who love high-voltage drama and mind games. If you are bored of watching 'Bigg Boss', then this show will give you a fresh feel. But yes, if you have problem with crowds and noise, it may take a few days for you to adjust. But one thing is certain, this show of Bani J will create a wave of trends in the OTT and digital world. As far as 'Bigg Boss' is concerned, this is just the beginning, in front of Bigg Boss, at present the show seems like a child and not a father, who has both the courage and the passion to move forward.
