Initially people ignore it considering it to be a minor problem and think that it is happening due to aging or fatigue. Apart from this, such a sound can also be heard when the lubrication present in the joints is less. Due to deficiency of Vitamin D and Calcium, bones become weak, due to which joints can make noise when moved.
In some cases, due to problems like rheumatoid arthritis or gout, the sound is accompanied by swelling and pain. At the same time, in case of injury to the knee or any other joint, stretch of ligament or meniscus tear, a crackling sound can also be heard. Sometimes this sound also occurs due to the bursting of small air bubbles formed inside the joints, which is usually not harmful.
It is very important to take a balanced diet to keep bones and joints healthy. Including food rich in calcium and vitamin D in the diet can be beneficial. Light exercise and stretching daily can reduce joint stiffness.
Avoid sitting in one position for a long time and keep moving the body regularly. Controlling weight also reduces pressure on joints. Apart from this, avoiding wrong posture and taking adequate rest is also considered important for bone health.
