Among these, you will find the LT Other Services option, from which you can start the name change process. After going to the LT Other Services section, you have to select the Name Transfer option. Clicking on this will open the online application form.

Here, the consumer has to correctly fill in their connection details, old name, and new name to avoid any problems later. Some necessary documents also need to be uploaded during the application process. These may include the IVRS number, Aadhaar card, PAN card, and other relevant identity proofs.

It is important to upload clear and visible scanned copies of the documents so that the application can be accepted without delay. After filling out the form and uploading the documents, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. You have to enter this OTP to complete the verification.

After verification, you have to make an online payment of Rs. 170, the prescribed charge for the name change. As soon as the payment is made, your application reaches the department. After departmental verification, the new name is updated on your electricity connection.
