New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the opposition, especially the Congress, in the Rajya Sabha. While replying to the discussion on the motion of thanks on the President’s address, PM Modi targeted the Congress by referring to the opposition’s ‘Modi teri kabr khudegi’ slogan and asked which ‘love shop’ is this that talks about digging the grave of the country’s Prime Minister.
PM Modi said that the problem of the opposition is that how the son of a poor person reached here and how has he survived till now. He said that Congress feels that the post of Prime Minister is the property of their family and no one else can sit on it. It is because of this hatred that such slogans are being raised.
The Prime Minister said that this slogan is not just a slogan, but a reflection of the hatred filled within him. He asked why the opposition wants to dig his grave? Responding to this, he listed out many major decisions of his government.
PM Modi said, “We demolished wall 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, is that why you are talking about digging a grave? He adopted the path of development by ending the shadow of bombs and ammunition in the North-East, responded to Pakistani terrorists by entering their homes, took courageous steps to liberate the country from Maoist terrorism, hence they have to dig Modi’s grave.”
During the speech, PM Modi also revealed the secret of his health in a light-hearted manner. He said that in the last 25 years, not a single session of Parliament has passed when he was not abused.
There was a lot of laughter in the House at this sarcasm of PM Modi. He also said that the opposition leaders will give a statement that look, the Prime Minister was crying in the Rajya Sabha also, but this is his habit.
PM Modi also targeted the old Congress governments. He said that the country gave opportunity to the royal family of Congress for decades, but they misled the people only by giving slogans of ‘Garibi Hatao’. He said, “They had slogans, not work. We changed the path – the path of empowering the poor.”
The Prime Minister claimed that today 25 crore poor families have come out of poverty by trusting the policies of his government. He said that before 2014, there were thousands of unmanned railway crossings in the country, where accidents used to happen every day, but no one paid attention. His government saved millions of lives by eliminating all these crossings. Similarly, electricity was provided to 18 thousand villages, where there was darkness since independence. He said that because of these actions the opposition is not able to find any solution and they are talking like digging graves.
