Everyone knows Deepak Kumar, resident of Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. Recently his video had gone viral on social media. Since then he has remained in the news. He had helped an elderly Muslim shopkeeper. Along with this, he also described himself as Mohammad Deepak. Since then he is being praised everywhere. Jharkhand government minister Irfan Ansari had announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for him. However, Deepak has refused to take this name amount.
Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari had announced to give an amount of Rs 2 lakh to Deepak Kumar. However, now Deepak Kumar rejected it and said that it is a huge amount. It should be given to any disabled or needy person.
Deepak Kumar, a 42-year-old gym trainer living in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, had saved an elderly Muslim shopkeeper from Bajrang Dal workers. His work is being praised everywhere. Although many people are against Deepak and many people are talking in favor of Deepak.
Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari had announced a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh for Deepak. But, Deepak clearly refused to take this reward. He said that this amount is very big and it should be given to any disabled or needy person.
Deepak told that he got information about this reward from social media. He said that if this money is used to help someone in need, then that will be the real honour.
This incident happened on 26th January. That day, some people gathered outside a shop named Baba School Garments on Patel Marg in Kotdwar. Meanwhile, the 70 year old shopkeeper started asking lawyer Ahmed to change the name of the shop. The atmosphere became tense during the conversation itself.
Meanwhile, Deepak Kumar came in between and stood as a shield in front of the elderly shopkeeper. Amidst the scuffle, when someone asked him his name, he said that my name is Mohammad Deepak. Later Deepak said that he considers himself only a human being and does not associate himself with any religion or religion.
This step of Deepak has been praised by many leaders of the country. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had called him a hero on social media. Some former ministers of Uttarakhand have also supported him. However, Deepak has clearly said that he has no connection with any political party and he wants to stay away from politics.
