Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in strict words that no compromise with law and order in the state will be accepted. He instructed the DGP that cases should be registered immediately against all types of crimes and strict and effective action should be ensured against the criminals. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was holding a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister's residence today while reviewing the law and order situation of the state.
Chief Minister Dhami Gave instructions to keep strict vigil especially on criminals involved in habitual and organized crime. He said that after identifying such elements, strict action should be taken against them under legal provisions, so that fear of law is established in the society and the common people feel safe.
Chief Minister Dhami said that the police should work with full activeness, vigilance and accountability. The functioning of police stations and posts should be further strengthened and patrolling and surveillance should be increased in sensitive areas. He directed that special campaigns should be run to improve the traffic and security system in urban areas.
The Chief Minister said that criminals will not be spared under any circumstances. Strictest action will be taken against those who take law into their hands, anti-social elements and those who try to disturb the peace of the state.
The Chief Minister gave a clear message to the officials that results should be visible and the public should feel safe. Chief Minister Shri Dhami said that his government is working with the resolve of crime-free Uttarakhand. Peace, security and good governance of the state is the top priority of the government. It is the responsibility of the government to ensure the safety of common citizens and negligence in this will not be tolerated at any level.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to regularly review the matters related to law and order and fix accountability at every level, so that the rule of law can become more powerful in the state. Chief Secretary, DGP Police, Secretary Home, ADGP (Law and Order), Garhwal Commissioner including Police and other senior officials of the government were present in the meeting.
