On the demise of Ajit Dada, NCP leader Pramod Hindurao, who was close to him, has given a statement that Ajit Pawar was going to go to Pune by road that evening and then from Pune to Baramati. He had also put the bag in his car. The convoy was also ready. But, he got a call from Praful Patel that there was a file in the ministry which required signatures. Only after this, Ajit Dada stayed at his bungalow in Mumbai. While waiting for the file, the plan of traveling by road was canceled and a private plane was booked.
