Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will reportedly never admit any wrongdoing with regards to the Epstein scandal for one major reason, royal biographer Andrew Lownie says. Three million pages, 180,000 images and 2,000 videos were posted publicly last month, including one shocking photo in the latest Epstein files showing Andrew kneeling over a woman on all fours, who was lying on the floor with her arms flat out beside her.
Speaking about the former Prince, Mr Lownie recently told the Mail that he believes Andrew has a "lack of self-awareness" - especially when it comes to the Epstein scandal. He wrote: "I don't think he's ever going to accept he's wrong because he suffers from an absolute lack of self-awareness."
He then added: "I think he still feels he's invincible. He sees himself as an innocent man, traduced."
Another source also revealed that Andrew "is now more fixated on how he will be remembered when it's time to shuffle off this mortal coil".
They also added that Andrew is thinking ahead to his future funeral, with him envisioning a "grand affair".
The source said: "He envisaged a grand affair in St. George's Chapel in Windsor, televised to a grieving nation, but his plans have been put in the shredder."
Andrew has still retained his position in the line of succession despite no longer holding his royal titles and honours, of which he was stripped last year.
The former Duke of York currently sits in eighth place in line to the throne - a position behind Princess Lilibet and one ahead of his own daughter, Princess Beatrice.
Andrew has now officially been evicted from Royal Lodge and is now living on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
The royal was reportedly driven 132 miles to Sandringham in darkness last Monday evening to avoid being seen.
