Scheme for Landless Agricultural Laborers
Now, all landless agricultural laborers in West Bengal will be able to benefit from this scheme. Those who were previously unable to benefit from this scheme due to a lack of agricultural land or who are not registered as sharecroppers will also be included. These beneficiaries will receive ₹2,000 twice a year. One installment will be given in the Rabi season and the other in the Kharif season. In this case, they will receive a total of Rs 4,000 per year. This money will be deposited directly into the beneficiaries' bank accounts. This new facility will be implemented from next April.
How to Apply?
The Krishak Bandhu Scheme requires offline applications. The state government sets up government camps or Duare Sarkar/Atmanirbhar Bangali camps in your area. Applications are accepted at these camps. At the camps, the Assistant Agriculture Officer of the Agriculture Department verifies the documents and approves the application. After the verification is complete, the money is transferred directly to the farmer's bank account via DBT.
