Friends, as we all know that in today’s modern era, WhatsApp app has become a popular app for instant messaging, which has more than 4 billion users all over the world, in such a situation, WhatsApp has implemented a new rule for the safety of its users, SIM binding, under this rule, the SIM card used to create your account should remain active in your phone. If the SIM is removed or becomes inactive, your account may be frozen or disabled. Let us know which important tasks you should do-

1. Choose your permanent number

First, decide which mobile number you want to keep as your permanent messaging account number. Many users still operate accounts linked to numbers that are no longer active or have been reassigned to someone else. Once SIM binding begins, removing that SIM from your phone may affect your account.

2. Make sure your SIM is active

Your chosen SIM card must remain active at all times. If you have not recharged it for a long time, activate it immediately with a valid plan. In the future, messaging platforms may periodically verify whether the SIM and account match.

3. Back up your chats and data

Before the new system is fully implemented, back up all your chats and media. This is very important because if any technical problem occurs after SIM binding, your old conversations and files will be safe only if you have a backup. Always include photos and videos in the backup so that nothing important is lost.

4. How to backup your data

If you use an iPhone, open app Settings, go to the Chats section, select Backup, enable Include Video, and create a quick backup. Android users can also back up all their data by going to Settings → Chats → Chat Backup and saving it to the cloud.

5. Don’t wait until the last moment

This upcoming change is being brought to improve user security and reduce account misuse. But, even a small mistake can damage your years of chat history and important data.
