Taking a significant step towards accelerating the adoption of AI in India’s education ecosystem, Bharti Airtel Foundation has partnered with global non-profit organization CK-12 Foundation. Under this partnership, more than 45 AI-enabled teaching tools have been integrated into TheTeacherApp for all teachers at the K–12 level. TheTeacherApp is a lifetime free digital learning platform currently used by more than 2 lakh teachers across the country.

Based on the vision of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Developed India 2047, this partnership marks a move for teachers from mere digital access to meaningful digital participation. TheTeacherApp has long been supporting teachers through training and learning resources. Its new AI-enabled version adds a direct support layer to the teaching workflow, providing instant help relevant to the actual classroom as well as easy access to relevant content across all grades and subjects.

The platform currently offers over 2,500 hours of training, Basic Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), digital literacy modules, child safety content, teaching resources and a collaborative ‘Teachers’ Lounge’, creating long-term public value through various state and institutional partnerships with NITI Aayog.
