Indian actor and politician Vijay has assured his supporters that he will handle personal life issues privately, asking them not to be concerned about recent controversies.

The 51-year-old, who founded the political party TVK in 2024, has been in the news recently due to personal life disputes. After 27 years of marriage, his wife Sangeeta filed for divorce in court, alleging Vijay had an improper relationship with a female actor.

Vijay was recently spotted with actress Trisha Krishnan at a wedding event, which drew further attention to the matter. Trisha has denied any political affiliation with any party.

During a speech at a Women’s Day event, Vijay acknowledged his personal life challenges but emphasized that he would personally manage these matters and requested his supporters not to be disturbed.

In the same event, the TVK leader made several welfare promises for women ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, including monthly financial aid and other support programs.

Vijay married Sangeeta in 1999, and the couple has two children, Jason Sanjay and Diya Shasha. In her court filing, Sangeeta stated she is a British citizen and currently does not have a residence in India.

Vijay’s latest film “Jananayagan” has concluded its release, after which he plans to fully focus on his political career.
