Cheltenham Festival is set to open its doors once again on Tuesday March 10, and one famous face we’re expecting to see is Zara Tindall. The Royal is a regular fixture at the racing event, nailing the dress code in her elegant country-chic outfits which often include pieces from one of her favourite brands, Fairfax & Favor.
During last autumn’s showcase in October, Zara was spotted wearing the Rye Leather Crossbody Bag in mahogany, earmarking it as the perfect choice for the event. And it seems the bag’s celebrity fanbase is growing, as this week Amanda Holden showed off her black version of the bag and praised its “beautiful shape.”

Whilst Zara’s mahogany version is currently sold out, the black one Amanda picked is still in stock, and you can pick it up for £295 at Fairfax & Favor right now. The Rye Leather Crossbody Bag is the perfect stylish piece to add to your wardrobe, with its timeless and versatile design ensuring you can wear it wherever, whenever.
It’s expertly made from premium leather, and has a neat, minimalist design that’ll never go out of style. It has a rounded rectangular shape, with an envelope-style fastening and brass hardware and subtle branding, giving it a classic heritage look.
You can also maximise how you wear the Rye Leather Crossbody Bag, as it has a detachable shoulder strap that lets you wear it as a cross body, a shoulder bag or as a clutch. Inside there’s also a zip pocket to keep all your essentials secured, making it a beautiful and practical investment.
Another great option is Strathberry’s Mosaic Nano bag, which is one Kate Middleton is often seen carrying. A pricier pick at £425, Princess Kate often carries the white version, but it also comes in chocolate brown which is still trending for spring.
Alternatively, Coach’s Tabby Chain Crossbody Bag 19 has a more closely-matched price tag of £275, with brown, black and white colourways to choose from. It makes more of a statement with its gold C logo on the front, and comes with a detachable wrist strap and a detachable chain strap so you can wear it on your shoulder or as a crossbody.
Whilst the black version of the Rye Leather Crossbody Bag doesn’t have any reviews at the moment, the sold-out mahogany one currently has two. One person wrote: “Lovely handbag. Less is definitely more. Sleek simple elegant stylish and sheer quality finish. You can tell I love it!!! Treated myself for Christmas.”
Whilst another said: “I purchased this at the same time as my boots, it’s a perfect size for the essentials a lady likes to carry with her!”
