In Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, law enforcement has cracked a chilling murder case. A man was brutally killed, and it has now been revealed that the perpetrator was none other than his mother-in-law. Frustrated with her son-in-law's behavior, she hired two contract killers, paying them one lakh rupees to eliminate him. Currently, four individuals, including the accused mother-in-law, have been apprehended, and further investigations are ongoing.
To solve this murder mystery, police examined over 100 CCTV cameras. The case unfolded in the Sirgitti police jurisdiction, where a body was discovered in Kalika Nagar, Tifra. Efforts had been made to conceal the identity of the victim, who was later identified as 24-year-old Sahil Kumar Patle from Mohanpur in the Janjgir Champa district. Initially, the murder appeared to be a blind case with no leads on the assailants.
According to the Superintendent of Police, an experienced team was assigned to crack this blind murder case. The deceased was known to have a drinking problem and would often physically assault his wife, Varsha. Distressed by her husband's behavior, Varsha frequently confided in her mother, Sarojini Khunte. Tired of the repeated abuse, Sarojini decided to take drastic action and arranged for her son-in-law's murder.
An advance payment of 8,000 rupees was made to the hired killers, who subsequently carried out the murder. The investigative team activated their informants and scrutinized the extensive CCTV footage. After gathering crucial evidence, they apprehended several suspects. Under interrogation, the full story emerged. The police have arrested Varsha Khunte (20), the widow, and her mother, Sarojini Khunte (38), along with two others. Authorities have confirmed that the suspects have confessed to their crimes, and further legal actions are underway.
