TW: This article discusses suicide, suicide attempts, and mental health issues. Anurag Dobhal, known as UK07 Rider on Instagram and a former contestant on Bigg Boss 17, went live on Saturday while driving recklessly. He referred to it as his 'last ride' and abruptly concluded the stream after reaching speeds exceeding 150 km/h on the Delhi–Dehradun highway. Following a crash into a divider, he was reportedly injured and is currently hospitalized. This incident has ignited discussions surrounding mental health. Recently, Sidharth Bhardwaj, an ex-contestant from Bigg Boss 5, who faced backlash for his comments on Dobhal's suicide attempt, shared his perspective on the matter, emphasizing the importance of mental health and accountability.
In an exclusive interview, Sidharth expressed his thoughts on Anurag's severe accident, which he described as a suicide attempt. He pointed out that everyone encounters personal challenges but stressed that such struggles cannot justify reckless behavior. He illustrated his point by stating that if he were to drive at 150 km/h due to personal issues and harmed someone, society would not excuse his actions based on his mental state.
He stated, "Main apni trouble ke chakkar mein gaadi 150 ki speed main chala raha hu - aur aapki family ke kisi aadmi ko maar dunga. Kya aap mere depression ho sahi bologe? Aap mujhe sensitivity dikhaoge? Nahi dikhaoge, ye ho gayi pehli baat."
During the interview, Sidharth revealed his own struggles with depression but emphasized that sympathy is not a solution. He noted that many people are sympathetic towards Anurag primarily because of his large following of seven million, but public pity does not aid in recovery. He highlighted that countries like the United States face significant depression rates, and the real solution lies in seeking therapy, medical assistance, and engaging in self-reflection. He cautioned that merely expressing sympathy could weaken the individual and mislead their followers.
He remarked, "Agar main kisi ko taras dikhaunga na is situation main, main usko weak kar raha hu. Aur main uske 7 million followers ko bhi weak kar raha hu - ye bata ke ki uski mental health main problem hai. Par aap 150 par gaadi chala rahe ho YouTube Live karte hue? Apni mental health ke chakkar main kisi ki physical health khatam kardoge aap."
Sidharth questioned the responsibility of driving at high speeds while live streaming, stating that endangering others due to one's mental health struggles is unacceptable and could lead to severe legal repercussions. He warned that if such reckless behavior results in an accident or fatality, claiming depression in court would not serve as a valid defense, potentially leading to imprisonment.
