Step-by-Step Process
First, visit the official website of NSDL or UTIITSL.
Now, log in to your account; if you are visiting the website for the first time, you will need to register.
After logging in, select the option labeled "Changes/Correction in PAN."
Next, enter the requested details, such as your PAN number, name, date of birth, email address, etc.
You will then need to generate a 15-digit token number.
Finally, select the specific details you wish to modify and make the necessary corrections.
Subsequently, upload the required supporting documents, such as proof of address, proof of date of birth, a photograph, etc.
Lastly, pay the applicable fee and submit the form.
Be sure to download the acknowledgment slip at the end of the process; this slip will allow you to track the status of your application in the future.
What if it still doesn't work?
If you are still unable to resolve the issue, you can visit a nearby CSC (Common Service Center). They will assist you in completing the task. However, before proceeding with the corrections, make sure to inquire about their service charges. Since these centers are affiliated with the government, their fees are typically lower than those charged by private cyber cafes. Nevertheless, they do charge a nominal fee for their services. Additionally, do not forget to carry all the necessary documents with you.
