Hajj requires separate visa, ministry reiterates
Officials stressed that pilgrims cannot perform Hajj using an Umrah visa and must obtain a valid Hajj permit, as reported by Gulf News.
Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al Rabiah said, “Hajj pilgrimage must be performed with a valid Hajj visa and cannot be undertaken using an Umrah visa.”
He also acknowledged the role of Umrah companies during Ramadan, especially in assisting pilgrims and managing travel arrangements.
Focus on compliance and service improvements
The ministry asked operators to follow regulations, including staggered airport arrivals and regular updates of departure data through the Nusuk Masar platform.
Authorities said these measures are part of broader efforts to improve coordination and services for pilgrims, aligned with the country’s long-term strategy to enhance the overall pilgrimage experience.
