Sri Lankan President Anura Kumar Dissanayake told the Parliament that we did not allow 2 American fighter planes to land in our area. America requested us repeatedly for this, but we clearly refused them. If both these fighter planes had got a base in Sri Lanka, then there could have been a major attack by America on Iran.
Speaking in Parliament, Dissanayake said – We are not in favor of war. Neither will we allow Sri Lanka to fall into this war. America for us and iran Both are equal. When we are not helping Iran in the war, then why will we help America?
According to local media, a few days ago America had asked for permission to land two fighter planes at Mattala International Airport located in the south-east of Sri Lanka, which the Dishanayake government had refused to grant. before America Türkiye And Spain also did not allow its base to be used.
When America recently sank Iran's Dena warship, Sri Lanka had helped it a lot. Sri Lanka launched the first rescue operation. After that the bodies of those killed in the warship were transported to Iran. Not only this, the injured were given proper treatment and taken to safe places.
According to the President of Iran, it was his humanitarian duty, but we are also not supporting Iran in the war. War only causes loss. We want peace to come and the world to develop.
Iran has become isolated in the Muslim world. No country has openly supported Iran. However, Turkey did not give its base to America for use. Earlier this week, Ali Larijani, the then Secretary of the Supreme Security Council of Iran, had written a letter to Muslim countries.
