If you want to beat Hornsplitter in Crimson Desert, it is quite a journey. Follow the guide to know how you can do it and beat Kailok. It is a grind like no other, and let us see how we can make it possible.
Beating Kailok the Hornsplitter in Crimson Desert takes skills and patience at their best. He’s fast and loves the strong wind waves. And if you have to find him, the only way is to stop chasing. You can begin by keeping your shield up. And your stamina actually refills while blocking! Keep it intact and high to stay till the end. After all this, you can just wait for him to come. Once you see that green flash for a Perfect Counter, you can unleash on him a Force Palm to break his posture. When he reaches 50% of his health, his sword will burn a bright red. This will be your sign to stop blocking and start going ahead. You just need to have plenty of grilled meat to heal through the entire process.
If you want to beat him, then these are the steps that you can follow.
Before the fight is to take place, just head to the vendor in Hernand and buy at least 30 pieces of Grilled Meat. You can keep on eating them!
Having high stamina is needed! Make sure that your Stamina is at least Level 4 using Abyss Artifacts. If your stamina bar is too small, this will go against your character in the game.
You need to keep your shield up (L1/LB) almost constantly. In this game, your stamina actually regenerates while blocking, so it is good if you can be defensive.
After all that’s done, wait for his melee dash. If you time your block perfectly as he hits, you’ll see a green light. Immediately follow this with a light attack to cause damage.
This is the best offensive tool to use at this point. And you can use it right after a successful counter to knock him off. If you’ve upgraded it to Level 3, it can work even better.
In Phase 2, which is below 50% HP, his sword will shine Red. These attacks cannot be blocked with anything. So, stop holding your shield and use the Evasive Roll to get behind him.
Now, what you have to do is to hit him three times, and that is max after a stagger, and then back off. If you try all the moves, it would be hard to withstand.
