Chikkamagaluru: Case filed over assault on students at Ekalavya residential school near Kottigehara

Chikkamagaluru: A case has been registered at Banakal police station in connection with the alleged assault on students at a Taruve Ekalavya Residential School near Kottigehara.

According to the complaint, the incident took place on the previous day, where students were allegedly beaten and subjected to caste-based abuse.

Based on the complaint filed by Ramesh Naik, a native of Kadur and father of student Preetham, police have registered a case against principal Satish Prasad Jaiswal and staff member Shubham.

The incident has triggered anger among local residents and parents, who have demanded strict action against those responsible.

Police have taken up further investigation into the matter.
