On the first day of TV9 Network's mega platform What India Thinks Today Summit (WITT) Ramu Rao Jupalli, Executive Vice Chairman, My Home Group Said, we stand today at an interesting turning point in history. Many types of crises are looming before the world. Due to the crisis, there is economic turmoil all over the world. India is also not untouched by this, but our country has emerged as an example of a special way of working and determination.
As our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi always says, the world is looking at the youth of India with hope and confidence because India has the power of democracy, population and diversity.
It is actually the result of the visionary leadership of our Prime Minister that India is seen in a positive light in different sectors and governance systems.
He said, India is moving towards becoming the third largest economy in the world. It remains the only major economy with a consistent 7 percent annual growth rate. With a strong economic base and merit-based policies, India is truly reshaping the world's labor market.
India's “Digital First” model is very special as it is looking for talent beyond the borders in a developed economy. This has been possible due to the two pillars of the Honorable Prime Minister namely Youth and Digital Development. He made it easier to do business in the country and improved the way of living in the country.
He says, currently the world is facing shortage of skilled labour. From the legacy industries of Germany to the technology hubs of Canada and the diverse economies of the GCC region, there is a need for quality talent. India is the only country which is capable of meeting this demand on a large scale. That too with humility.
I believe that the specialty of the talent of the people of India rests on seven big pillars. The foundation of all these pillars has been laid by the policy framework launched in recent years under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
1- Advantage of Indian population: While the rest of the world is ageing, India remains a young country. We are the center of talent in the world.
2- Grip on language: Our English language capabilities enable our employees to integrate into any global corporate culture.
3- Proficiency in STEM sector: We produce the highest number of STEM graduates every year, driving innovation from Silicon Valley to Bengaluru.
4- Digital First and Data Freedom: Our digital public infrastructure is an example across the world. This is pushing data generation forward. India's digital public goods ecosystem has now become an example across the world.
5- Indians have the power to become global citizens: Today, India's professionals see the world as their canvas and have the power to become a global citizen.
6- Technology Mindset: The thinking of the educated and enthusiastic youth of India is to give priority to technology. Indians of different ages being active on social media is a proof of how much India has adopted technology.
7- Emotional Intelligence (EQ): India is also known for emotional intelligence i.e. emotional quotient. It gives strength to Indian talents to deal with struggles and bad times.
It is not just us who are saying this. The world's most influential personalities are expressing their confidence in Indians. This was reiterated by the world's most influential leaders during the historic conclusion of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement in New Delhi.
As a second-generation entrepreneur, I see this change every day. More than a billion Indians like me are watching the rise of a new India under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
The world has appreciated Modi ji's efforts to give India a place on the global stage. India's most important export will be its intelligence, imagination, honesty and influence. Let us all commit together to make India the global talent capital.
Let us all take advantage of this moment… As the Prime Minister said in his Independence Day speech at the Red Fort- This is the time.. the right time.. this is the precious time of India
