Stranger Things' The Duffer Brothers have returned with this gripping eight-part horror drama centred on the week preceding a young couple's nuptials.
Nicky (played by Adam DiMarco) brings his bride-to-be to his family's stunning cabin where they intend to host the ceremony, with Rachel (Camila Morrone) encountering her prospective in-laws for the first time.
This includes her mother-in-law Victoria Cunningham (Jennifer Jason Leigh) who possesses an enigmatic quality from the opening episode when they meet.
Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen's Jennifer Jason Leigh is certainly experienced in the horror and thriller genre.
However, arguably her most prominent and recognisable role has been as Hedra Carlson in the 1992 thriller Single White Female alongside Bridget Fonda.
Fashion designer Allie (Bridget Fonda) requires a new flatmate following a split and encounters Hedra, known as Hedy, (Jennifer Jason Leigh) whom she rapidly befriends.
Yet circumstances quickly deteriorate when Hedy becomes fixated on Allie, copying and following her as she attempts to assume her life and identity.
Beyond Single White Female, Leigh has also appeared in Buried Alive, The Machinist, Sister, Sister, Awake, Hunters, Dolores Claiborne and The Hateful Eight.
The 64-year-old has explored other genres however, including the dark comedy-drama Weeds, 1990s mystery series Twin Peaks and Disney+'s crime show High Potential.
Arguably her other most significant role has been in Netflix's comedy-drama Atypical as Elsa Gardner, the mother of 18 year old Sam Gardner (Keir Gilchrist) who has autism.
Elsa is portrayed as an intensely dedicated and frequently overprotective mother as her son pursues independence and self-discovery throughout the four-season run.
Already, Leigh has three additional projects in development, a crime thriller entitled Bishop with Imperfect Women actor Joel Kinnaman and drama Deep Cuts with Priscilla star Cailee Spaeny.
The third is entitled New England Toys and whilst the genre hasn't been disclosed, the cast will also feature The Fall of the House of Usher's Willa Fitzgerald and Gen V actor Asa Germann.
