EE mobile and broadband customers will be hit with price rises from this coming Tuesday.

The network, now owned by BT, has set out the price increases it will hand to customers from March 31.

Unlike other major mobile networks Vodafone, Three and O2, which all raise their prices from April 1, EE is invoking its annual mid-contract price rises one day earlier, on the final day of March.

How much extra EE customers will be charged depends on their contracts and when they were first taken out.

For mobile SIM only and airtime plans, customers who took out a contract on or after July 31, 2025 will pay an extra £2.50 per month from March 31.

Customers who took out the same plans between April 10, 2024 and July 30, 2025 will pay an extra £1.50.

For those with handset plans (i.e. still paying off a phone), customers who took out a contract after September 10, 2024 will pay an extra £4 a month, while those who took one out from April 10 to September 9, 2024 will pay an extra £1.50.

Those with connected device plans, such as a laptop, tablet or watch and mobile broadband will pay an extra £1.50.

4G and 5G home broadband customers will pay £1.50 more if they took out a contract between April 10 and September 9, 2024, while customers from September 10, 2024 to July 30, 2025 will pay £3 extra. Customers who took out a contract on or after July 31, 2025 will pay an extra £4 a month.

Home broadband (non 4G/5G) will pay an extra £3 a month if they signed up from April 10, 2024, or £4 if they started their contract from August 6, 2025.

EE TV plans will all increase by £2 a month too.

EE said in its price rise announcement: "Since April 2024, annual prices changes have been in pounds and pence, so you can have certainty when it comes to the cost of our products and services from year to year.

"Any planned increases will be set out in pounds and pence and will be applied each 31 March during the minimum term of your plan. Once your minimum term has ended, the increase to your plan charge will be applied each 1 March.

"So, for example, if you take out a new SIM-Only mobile plan at £25 per month on a 24-month contract, your price will be £27.50 per month from 31 March, 2026, and then £30 per month from 31 March, 2027. For more details, see our price guides.

"We'll send you an email or a text to explain what this means for you. We usually send these communications out between January and mid-March. In there, you'll find an explanation of what's happening with your plan(s)."

EE added: "We know that your home relies on a brilliant connection. Whether it's through your mobile or broadband service, it's more important than ever to keep everyone and everything connected. Our annual price change means we can continue investing to deliver the best connection for you and your home, now and in the future. We're always working to bring you a continuously better mobile experience and value for money.

"We're dedicated to keeping our customers connected and committed to helping those who need it most, and have frozen prices for customers across our BT Home Essentials, EE Mobile Basics, and pay as you go (PAYG) plans."
