By scoring the maximum points in the pool in the league matches of Ayodhya Premier League (APL) T-20, Saryu Smashers, Hindon Titan and Ganga Warriors secured their place in the last four. In the league matches played on Tuesday at the cricket stadium located at Dr. Ambedkar International Sports Complex in Dabhasemer, Gomti Thunder and Vipin’s century innings won the league matches and got full points by winning the century innings of Ghanshyam and Saryu Smashers. Saryu Smashers team owner Ram Singh awarded Ghanshyam and Vipin as man-of-the-match.
The first match was played between Betwa Blasters and Gomti Thunder teams. After winning the toss and batting first, Betwa team scored 193 runs losing nine wickets in 20 overs. In this, Vishal contributed 57 runs, Vinay 36, Jatin 25 runs. Dhananjay, Shashank, Nikhil of Gomati team took two wickets each, Krishna and Vinay took one wicket each. Batting in reply, Gomti team scored 131 runs with the help of Ghanshyam Upadhyay’s excellent nine sixes and 12 fours and got full points by winning the match by five wickets with one ball remaining. Anurag and Jatin took one wicket each.
In the second match, Saryu Smashers won the toss and batted first and scored 232 runs at the loss of six wickets in the stipulated overs. Vipin played a century inning of 106 runs with the help of eight sixes and seven fours. Abhiraj contributed 67 runs with the help of five sixes and three fours.
Raghavendra and Badal took two wickets each, Yuvraj took one wicket. In reply, Ganga Warriors team, which came to bat with a target of 233 runs, could score only 136 runs for seven wickets. Chitransh 32, Shivam 24, Abhishek 21 contributed 17 runs. Divya Prakash of Saryu team took three wickets, Vipin took two wickets, Javed and Abhiraj took one wicket each. On this occasion, District Cricket Association Secretary Umer Ahmed, Joint Secretary Bal Kishan Nishad, officials and sports lovers encouraged the players.
