The atmosphere heated up in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly when a heated argument broke out between the MLAs of Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party. Here some Congress MLAs were raising slogans against PM Narendra Modi. BJP MLAs got enraged at this and started raising counter slogans. The situation here became more tense when some BJP MLAs started making objectionable comments about Rahul Gandhi. After this there was a scuffle between the two sides. Seeing the increasing uproar in the assembly, the security personnel had to intervene, after which somehow the situation was controlled.

Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet on Thursday approved several development projects. Their objective is to strengthen infrastructure, public services and institutional capacity across the Union Territory. Officials said that this meeting held at the official residence of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Jammu lasted for about an hour.
The main focus of this meeting was to accelerate the pace of development, improve delivery of services and ensure balanced development. Here the cabinet has approved two sewerage and drainage projects. Rs 44 crore for Kathua and Rs 24 crore for Pampore. These projects, to be implemented by the Housing and Urban Development Department, will improve the sanitation situation by connecting the dirty water coming out of houses to the sewage treatment plant.
