Bengaluru: A 45-year-old man was allegedly murdered and his body was dumped in a deserted area under the Hebbagodi police station limits in the city, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil, a native of Odisha. He had come to Bengaluru around three years ago and was working as a mason.
According to police, unidentified persons killed him and later placed the body in a gunny bag before dumping it near Yarandahalli in an isolated location.
Local residents who noticed the body informed the police. Officials from Hebbagodi police station reached the spot, conducted an inspection, and registered a case.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway.
