In a recent statement, US Ambassador Sergio Gor emphasized the alignment of India's expanding economy with American strengths in sectors like energy, advanced manufacturing, and digital infrastructure. He believes this synergy presents a significant opportunity for both nations to enhance their strategic economic collaboration.

Gor highlighted the importance of establishing resilient supply chains for semiconductors and essential minerals, applauding India's participation in the US-led 'Pax Silica' initiative, which aims to secure these supply networks amid rising competition from China.

In an interview with a publication from the US embassy, he noted that the United States is ideally positioned to act as a catalyst for economic growth in South and Central Asia, with a proposed trade agreement with India serving as a cornerstone for regional economic integration.

Discussing defence and security collaboration, Gor stated that this area represents a crucial aspect of US-India relations, particularly under the Quad framework. He expressed his vision of transforming the US-India partnership into a defining strategic alliance of the 21st century, one that yields tangible benefits for both countries.
